QUALIFICATIONS IN ARCHITECTURE RECOMMENDED FOR RECOGNITION BY CAA:
Procedures and Criteria

In February 2008 CAA revised its procedures known as the Red Book and published revised procedures as the Green Book which may be downloaded below. In summary, the main substantive changes to the procedures are:

• Addition of an appeals procedure (section 3.7)
• Reference to dealing with masters courses (section 4.4)
• Reference to dealing with courses delivered in other than normal settings (section 4.5) - Deletion of original Appendix B: Model Form of Agreement for International Recognition of Qualifications
• Reference to the issue of CAA Recognition Certificates (section B.4)
• Revised terminology for the validation decisions that a visiting board can recommend to CAA Council (section C.5.2)
• Greater clarity in describing the process of ‘signing off' visiting board reports (Appendix G)
• Inclusion of Appendix H: Visiting Board Course Validation Report Format
