CAA's constitution sets the aim of the organisation as 'The advancement
of Architecture throughout the Commonwealth, and the acquisition of
knowledge of the various arts and sciences connected therewith'. In
particular; promoting co-operation between members and other equivalent
organisations; ensuring the maximum contribution of architects to
the well being of society; and encouraging activities on a regional
basis.
Principles that are currently used to guide the activities of CAA
are:
NETWORKING AND COMMUNICATION
Sharing built environment knowledge in member countries through
a network of individuals.
ADVANCING AND INFLUENCING THE PROFESSION
Co-operating with the Commonwealth and other multinational bodies,
promoting the contribution of the profession, making architects
aware of global issues and trends.
DEVELOPMENT
Channelling support to smaller and less developed and communities
of architects.
